The newly promoted Pilgrims will find out this week when the 2020/21 League One campaign will start.
EFL clubs have been voting on preference for 2 potential start dates for the new campaign-August 29 & September 12.
The latter seems to be division 1,s preferred choice as the Championship clubs will not finish the 2019/20 season until July 22nd.
A September 12th start would mean the season opener would kick off 6 weeks behind schedule.
This would mean that more midweek matches would have to be played with the number increasing from 5 to 11, the 2020/21 campaign will probably end around May 8/9th 2021
