THE PASCUAL FLORES ARRIVES TO PLYMOUTH


THE GALEÓN ANDALUCÍA CAN BE VISITED OVER THE WEEKEND

The sailboat Pascual Flores in arriving to Plymouth and will dock at Barbican Landing Stage. It Will be opend to the public, from May 14th to 19th. In a few days it will accompained by the Galeón Andalucía, that due to adverse weather conditions during its current voyage, it will be able to be visited at Plymouth during the weekend.

The Pascual Flores is an historic ship symbolizing the last sailboats of the Mediterranean, built in Torrevieja (Alicante) in 1917 for the prosperous salt trade with the Mediterranean and Africa. It has recently been restored by the Nao Victoria Foundation.


During its stay in Plymouth, the public can freely board the ship, stroll along the wooden decks of this imposing vessel measuring 34 meters in length, 8 meters in beam, and 415 m² of sail area, explore its spaces, and learn about its history and life on board.


It stopover in Plymouth is part of its great 2024 tour, during which it is visiting various ports in Europe, to spread the knowledge about how these Spanish classic vessel. From Plymouth, it will continue its tour through several ports as Bruselas, Harlingen, Delfzijl, Klaipeda, Helsinki, Tallin or Bremerhaven, taking part in important festivals and international events, sailing as an authentic and unique floating museum of Spanish maritime heritage.
